High school is about more than just academics. Here at Schechter, we encourage our students to become scholar athletes by providing physical education class and after school sports during the fall, winter and spring.

As part of our outstanding physical education program, students learn important skills that will keep them healthy throughout their lives. 

Activities include yoga, weight training and many different team and individual sports. Our students play sports after the school day, as well. Our varsity teams allow them the chance to fine tune the skills they’ve learned in phys ed by competing against other schools.

Our scholar athletes are encouraged not just by the community cheering them from the stands but by the banners above the bleachers. Those championship pennants and retired numbers will remind them of our school’s commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.
